We approach the tunnel de Saint Aignan and it looks too small for the boat to fit in! Oh well, in we go with Pete at the helm.

Pete looked pretty serious as he tried to keep the boat in the middle and the walls away from our wheelhouse roof.

At the end of the tunnel we go straight into an open lock that was triggered when we entered the tunnel.

Pete is awarded his barge helming stripes for services to navigation (and for not clouting the tunnel walls).
