Humber Barge Waterdog

Waterdog looks splendid in the fresh black Hempel 2 pack epoxy paint, we have to hope it will last better than the cheaper oil based bitumen that it replaced.

Our aft mooring posts are host to various seabirds and a Kingfisher.

We became members of the Deben Yacht Club and then found that we could borrow the club’s sailing dinghies for race days. To the right is Lawrence sailing a borrowed RS Feva in the weekend club race day.

In the late summer we bought a 30 year old ‘Cornish Cormorant’ in Wells-Next-the-Sea and towed it home to Woodbridge. After some varnishing we had some beautiful, but cool, light wind sails with ‘Lola’ to try her out before winter set in. She is kept in the local dinghy park and we can launch her down the shallow slipway to use her. She is cat rigged Gunter lug with oars and an outboard bracket to put our electric engine on, we will look forward next summer :-).
