We stopped at Waulsort, just before the border with France and saw this survey boat going up and down the stretch of river. We think it has a multibeam echosounder mounted over the bow - it could be quite a nice job through the summer.

This is looking from our mooring towards Waulsort lock and also shows a pretty nice way of earning a living.

Our mooring at Waulsort had great walks into the hills and forests. We could also fill up with water and top up the batteries using the mains so we had a bit of a power and water festival, doing washing and odd jobs etc.
